| Show Student stands up for Aimee Baumgartner Columnist So where do you go to school I go to I r reply ply Oh you mean Redwood High Too bad you dont don't go to a real s school hool Often I have been confronted with this reply after I tell acquaintances I go to school at and every time I wonder what they mean Let me set you naive people straight It is I who attends the real school What you people attend is a madhouse r At real schools like the class sizes are relatively small As a matter of fact most of my professors know my name Now at their school half the time class sizes are so large that a student is redu reduced ed to a so social al security number on an attendance sheet Unless Unless Unless Un Un- less you sit in the front row chances are your professor wont won't know you from John Doe Then there is that aggravating and ever present problem of parking Granted at parking is a problem Itis It Itis Itis is not unusual at to wait 30 minutes to find a space However 30 minutes is preferable to waiting for over an hour which is often the case at some universities Of course lets let's not forget after parking one still needs to make it to the class room itself At the distance isn't extremely far between classes It is feasible to make it to class in 10 minutes Furthermore everything is relatively easy to find At their real reat school some distances between between between be be- tween classes are so great you have to take your car to get to class on time Finding the right room is also a real feat in itself Heaven help you if you dont don't have a detailed map But lets let's address the issue where it really hurts Money At I can pay for tuition and books without going bankrupt Believe it or riot not I do not need a loan or a scholarship to afford college at I even have money left over Ill I'll bet people at real schools dont don't have that luxury As a matter of fact at their school unless you are rich you will pretty much need some sort of financial plan to make it through school I wouldn't be su surprised if you had to promise your first child to research in order tobe tobe to be able to afford school there So there you uninformed people have it the way things really are I have been kind enough to help you see the light and expose the false ideas you have about what a real school is Hopefully you'll change your at at- On second thought stick with ignorance I kind of enjoy seeing you struggle through life at a real school |
