D Morgan Vice President for Student Services In making the reaching far-reaching changes Morgan said the multi multi- pronged purposes were to increase the effectiveness of the division for forthe forthe forthe the benefit of students as well as to reach into some areas only lightly touched upon previously Curtis Smout continues as director of the College Center the student union at The building presently is being expanded and remodeled It should be completed by June of this year Cost of the expansion is paid for from student fees and is not attributable to the State Director of Student Activities is Jerry who has been given some increased responsibilities Janet Felker is named Director of Administrative Services under the Student Services reorganization Ms Felker has served for several months as Coordinator of the Single Parent Displaced Homemaker Homemaker Homemaker Home- Home maker Project She is currently working also on her PhD Ph.D. at t the e University of Utah in Educational Administration and Education Named as Director of Student Planning and Assessment is Larry Landward previously Director of Academic Advising Serving with Landward is Jane Townsend who now has the position of Director of Admissions She had come to in 1986 as New Students Coordinator after being at z t i Westminster College for six years years in tn Admissions Director of Academic Advising Assessment and Career Planning ng is Keith Heigert Heigert joined the College in 1984 as an Academic Advisor Since April 1986 he has served as the Assessment Center Coordinator He holds a M. M Ed from BYU in Counseling Guidance and Marriage Family Therapy Associated with Mr Heigert is John Wiemer now Director of Academic Standards An year 11 veteran of he has served the past several years as Director of Admissions He received an award for Outstanding Young Man of America in 1979 He has been a member of the Utah State Parks and Recreation Board |
