B Bring j. j f t TT Home t S' S r. r 4 t t r The Th rw-i-l rw e r j. j r S Gold The National Career Development Conference of Delta Epsilon Chi DEX business merchandising marketing clubs held in New Orleans saw Utah colleges sweep 33 percent of all first fast place prizes and 16 percent of second places as well as five percent of third places More 2000 post seco secondary dary F students took part across the nation Salt Lake Community College formerly Utah Tech took first place nationally in the Advertising Campaign contest Bryce Twitchell and Anita Adams represented the school in that competition which reat featured ed a mock campaign for a real product Forever Roses Also taking first place in the United States was Kim Jackson representing the Sales Promotion Plan category And Teresa Sundstrom took third place nationally in the e Management Decision Merchandising Making contest One of the top 10 finalists nationally in General Retail Merchandising was Ray Babcock and Cleta Spratt Stacy Draney and Jay Tomlin were chapter representative finalists in the Civic Consciousness competition Dr Kathy Walton and Mr Lynn are faculty advisors to the colleges college's DEX chapter Dr Walton commented that Utah colleges obviously are teaching business marketing and merchandising effectively Utah students beat out many good college students from states with huge population and business centers Were We're pleased with our students' students successes success s. s sN E zM s e s 4 DEX National Winners Winners' Jay Tomlin Anita Cook Adams Bryce Twitchell Teresa Sundstrom Ray Babcock Stacey Draney |
