home this thursday mrs smith underwent an appendicitis operation recently at price hospital she was released from the hospital last sunday yand and has been staying at the home of her uncle bud jones of price mr and mrs claud baker took a truck load of passengers to moab sunday those in the party were mr and mrs floyd hulse mrs dollie mcgough and dorothy mrs roy wood and daughters and miss thelma hall while in moab dr allen alien removed the cast from mrs floyd dulses leg that was fractured some time ago mr and mrs C S wilkinson arrived in monticello tuesday morning and are now comfortably domiciled in the main street building just south of county superintendent hansens office they expect to be permanent residents of san juan county and are now at home to friends and acquaintances A J redd and party returned from southern california and other sections of the sunny southland last sunday and report that the copious rains have been very general throughout that section as well as this their trip was without accident or untoward incident but they are glad to be the doleful sound of the south wind today gives warning that another storm period may be expected and just when our streets travelers arriving in monticello 1 1 yesterday from cortez over highway I 1 no report that the roads are fast becoming good cars were able to negotiate the 72 miles from cortez in 2112 2 hours that he will soon be able to resume his usual duties mrs frost also informs us that mrs J powell of bluff was in the hospital because of an attack of appendicitis but that an operation was not deemed
