Show BLUE MOUNTAIN CIVIC CLUBS BUSY MEETING the regular monthly meeting of the blue mountain civic club was held at the court house last monday evening with a good attendance of members and chairman george palmer presiding A communication was received from the associated civic clubs of southern utah advising that a road project was being sponsored as a part of the highway improvement pro for an improved highway from la sal junction to blue mountain and pledging the whole hearted support of that organization the local club was also alo al o advised that an application had teen reen I 1 received from the blanding commercial club requesting the honor of entertaining the associated clubs at blanding this summer and the local club was advised to confer with the blanding civic ora organization with a vew v v ew to getting together on a program as it wa wasl not feasible to meet at two points I 1 in san juan county the same i season As will be noted by our report of the last meeting of the blanding commercial club elsewhere in this issue of the record has conceded conc ded the privilege to monticello monti cello clearing the atmosphere and assuring monticello will now have privilege of entertaining the clubs at this place I 1 it was decided not to purchased pur purchase chasel space in the scenic section of the 1 salt lake tribune may number in which to advertise local acen erv the fhe members decided to sponsor and promote a lawn tennis project I 1 for monticello which they hope to have available for use in I 1 the coming summer three committees were appointed for the project as follows on construction empowered to obtain plans and estimates etc C A frost chairman R A bailey and G A robson on finance H lloyd hansen L frank redd and ross musselman on location donald T adams chairman john helquist and paul sieber the committed comm ittes are expected to manifest diligence in getting the project under way |
