| Show SCHOOL BOARD CHECKS UP ELECTION RETURNS U A nielson and K D williams tic for seat F from am bluff williams winning on coin Coln toss the san juan school board held a meeting monday night and canvassed the returns of the election for trus iteen held wednesday of last week be transacting general business the returns showed that U A nielson n and K D williams candidates from bluff precinct had tied both receiving 14 votes J 13 harris present incumbent from blanding anding BI won over H D bayles by a vote of to 69 while H U butt of the cotton wood precinct gt succeeds himself he having received 26 votes at lockerby against 10 for joseph nielson and two for R D summit point polling place gave butt 6 votes 2 and none for nielson no returns were on hand from the cedar point polling place but itis it is understood that butt carried it solid it was decided to give a ten day va catkin to the of the coiny luring the holidays to commence on december 19 and to end on the also giving new years day off the balance of the meeting was taken up with checking up on financial matters and discussing school facilities for the outlying districts |
