Show SUGAR HOUSE TO POLICE PRECINCT Sugar House became a full fledged Salt Lake police precinct this week. F. Clark Sanford was named captain in charge. These reports were given The News Bulletin by Chief of Police Odes B. Record who pledged his every effort "to take care of this fast growing business community." "Sugar House business is growing grow-ing in leaps and bounds, and it presents police problems complicating compli-cating and difficult, and we will do our best to be equal to the job ahead," Chief Record said. The Sugar House patrol district has been broadened too, it was pointed out, and more manpower will be necessary when it is available. avail-able. "We expect the men we have to buckle down and do their bit when there is a job or a problem at hand," the chief said. "We'll get more manpower when we can, but we have some good men who can handle more work if necessary, and as I see it, these men will have to pitch in and get the job done." Capt. Sanford, resigned as police chief a fortnight ago, resumes his civil service rank, and was assigned as-signed to Sugar House, the new police precinct. Additional men and cars will be assigned to the Sugar House precinct in due time, it was promised prom-ised as a long sought after dream of a precinct became an actual reality this week. |
