Show Mo e than 1500 persons visited the new Early American home at 2707 Kentucky Ave., during the showing the past week end. The home, designed and built by Woodie & Sibyl Rhea and Paul Cushing of the Peasant Shop, exhibited ex-hibited the artistic ability of the designers and builders. The interior, Early American in i each detail, is strikingly beautiful and quaint. It is the result of a unique family fam-ily project and hobby carried on through the years by the Rheas. jBoth artists in their own light tiiey have collected and gathered I period pieces and repaired and restored re-stored each item in its original beauty. The ultimate end was the "Peasant Shop" and the building of the new home, which manifests a nostalgic charm of days gone by. Hostesses for the opening were Nita Plattner, Valine Cushing, Evelyn Ev-elyn Jennings, Lola Pulley and Sibyl Rhea. The Rheas will greet their friends every day at the Peasant Shop at 3780 Highland Drive. |
