Show PHILHARMONIC SLATES TWO CONCERTS Utah will record the appearance of the New York Philharmonic Symphony orchestra as the greatest great-est musical event in decades. On their first tour to the west coast in 24 years, America's oldest old-est orchestra will present two Utah concerts. The first is scheduled sched-uled for the Salt Lake LDS Tabernacle, Tab-ernacle, May 11, and the secohd in the George Albert Smith Field-house, Field-house, Brigham Young University, May 12. Tickets to the Salt Lake City concert are available at the Mc-Cune Mc-Cune School of Music and Art, 200 North Main St., Salt Lake City and the box office, Glen Brothers Music Co., 74 South Main. Guido Cantelli, young Italian maestro discovered by Toscanini, will lead the Philharmonic in the Salt Lake concert. Dimitri Mitro-poulos, Mitro-poulos, native of Greece and musical director of the orchestra, will conduct the Provo concert. Grant Johannesen, concert pianist, will be soloist in Provo. |
