Show METHODISTS TO PRESENT DRAMA GROUP Christ Memorial Methodist church, 2375 East 3300 South, will have the distinct privilege of acting act-ing as host to the Bishop's Company Com-pany of Hollywood May 21, 22 and 23. This highly individual group of actors is a modern group traveling travel-ing throughout the nation bringing bring-ing a return of drama to the church in America, much the same as the old-fashioned circuit rider traveled from place to place on horseback giving sermons. The drama group was organized organ-ized in 1952 with Methodist Bishop Gerald H. Kennedy as sponsor, and has been playing continuously since. Hal Bokar is director; Phyllis Beardsley is co-producer; the company presents an all professional profes-sional cast including Minna Caldwell, Cald-well, screen and TV favorite; Elizabeth Wolfe, James Wheaton. Preston Held, Merle Harbaeh, George Carlisle and James Flynn. "The Devil and Daniel Webster" will be presented May 21 and "Billy Budd" is set for May 22 with "The Boy With a Cart" the final performance. |
