Show I NAME DEFENSE BOND WOMEN HEAD IN UTAH Activity of Utah women in behalf be-half of U. S. defense bonds will be led by a Salt Lake City veteran of civic affairs, Mrs. Harry D. Far-rington. Far-rington. She succeeds Mrs. Harry Nelson as state women's chairman. Mrs. Farrington is a former state executive of the American Legion auxiliary and has held responsible posts in the Service Star Legion, Presidents' Patriotic council the Salt Lake Council of Women and other groups. She has worked in Community Chest, Cancer. March of Dimes, Red Cross and Primary Children's hospital drives. In the Defense Bond program she has successfully led special events since the beginning of World War II and recently served as state coordinator co-ordinator of the "Bonnets for Bonds" project. Mrs. Farrington returned Thursday Thurs-day from a national planning conference con-ference on Defense Bonds in Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, at which Mrs. Anna P. Kelsey of Salt Lake City, national na-tional president of the American Federation of Women's Labor Auxiliaries, Aux-iliaries, was also present. |
