Show S. II. Ward Happenings Ward Honors E. R. Curtis, High Councilmen, Thanksgiving News by Leah Bond It was a wonderful crowd that turned out on Monday evening to honor former Sugar House Stake President ELBERT R. CURTIS CUR-TIS and his wife. Also honored at the gathering were former high councilmen, DAVID G. EMERY, FRED E. H. CURTIS, GEORGE A. PARRY, ALBERT J. BANKS, ERNEST BLAKE-MORE BLAKE-MORE and their wives. Besides stake members, guests included people from all over town and former stake members who came to help honor these men. After a fine program dancing was enjoyed in the amusement hall and refreshments were served in the banquet hall ... A ' ' That lovely American holiday, Thanksgiving, has slipped by for another year but not without leaving behind memories of a lovely day spent in feasting and rejoicing in the company of loved ones. The DAVID J. BORGS, 1120 Wilson, packed their family and went to Idaho Falls for Thanksgiving dav. Their daughter. daugh-ter. Ruth (MRS. NORMAN WHITNEY), and girls welcomed wel-comed them with open arms . . . "To grandmother's house we go" so it was with the VERI. TEEPLES and youngsters who went to spend a long week end in Idaho with Jessie's folks . . . The MILBURN FENNS went down to Salina to spend the day. Son Warren and his wife were the center of much attention at-tention as Warren has been away for several years in the service. He's home to stay now, by the way . -. . The AL GOSS'S had a big family dinner to mark the day. Guests included members of Jane's family and children . . . There's a different kind of rejoicing re-joicing at the CHARLES CRAMER CRA-MER home, 1795 So. 11th East. ' There's a tiny baby girl just arrived to be the adored darling of five big brothers . . . A cordial invitation has been issued by JEAN BROWN and all the Relief Society officers to attend their bazaar on Tuesday Tues-day Home baked goods and all kinds of hand work will be on sale . ' . . Much interest centering center-ing around the coming M- . ROAD SHOW which will..J held November 30 and December Decem-ber 1. All wards are participating. |
