Show Critic Awards Orchids to Director of 'But Fair Tomorrow" duction of "The Other Wise Man," which Kathleen adapted. SPECIAL STAGE A special stage is being built in the chapel for the pageant, and there will be 18 children in costumes on stage. Down in the choir seats will be a special spe-cial chorus of 12 children who will be dressed in white choir outfits. The rest of the children chil-dren will make up the general chorus. John Powell LaVar Murray, and Lee Richards will build the scenery and handle the special lighting needed. Marilyn Nord-berg Nord-berg is wardrobe mistrals and will supervise the making of the costumes. Carol Cornwall will direct the music. Here is a ward drama director who realizes the necessity of organizing a production crew for her show. She gives the responsibility re-sponsibility of lighting, costumes, cos-tumes, makeup, and the trillions of other details to someone else, so she can devote her whole attention at-tention to directing. Last Thursday and Friday, in Richards Ward, she presented present-ed "But Fair Tomorrow," and the production will be shown again this Friday night, Dec. 8, at South Olympus Ward in Holladay. CAST With Kathleen Updegraff as assistant director, the cast included in-cluded the following thespians: Ardis Updegraff, Kathleen San uelsen, Sharon Jacobsen, Edna Runswick, Don Clawson, Helen P. Wade, Joyce Hoggan, Leroi Carroll, Alma Summerhays, 1 Danny Hardy, Rae McClelland, Bobbie McClellan, Joyce Ferguson, Fergu-son, Douglas Clayson. Ann tells me that the ward officers okeyed a project to buy the materials needed and build a brand-spankin'-new stage set for the show. Alma B. Summerhays Summer-hays (that's Ann's bigger half) designed the set, and N. C Nielsen and Danny Hardy helped him build it. Stage manager was Annie Runswick, LaMont Jensen and Ralph Blunt handled the lighting, Lydia Stoll produced the sound effects, |
