Barr, 1307 Indiana Avenue, Salt Lake City, both workers at the Garfield plant of the American Smelting & Refining Company, have a score of years difference in ases. Lloyd, a world war veteran, bought U. S. Savings Bonds during his active service, and has continued buying through the Payroll Savings Plan ever since becoming a copper casting employe of the smelter. Barr, a brick mason foreman, has 38 years of service in the copper industry, processing ore from the Utah Copper mine of the Kennccott Copper corporation, producer of one-third of all the new copner in the United States. He has been buying Savings Sav-ings Bonds since Pearl Harbor.
