Sunday night a program commemorating the Restoration Restora-tion of the Aaronic Priesthoo-i will be presented by the youth of the world. . . . They've more than been having company m the A. Wm. Lund home on 14th East. Thetir two little granddaughters grand-daughters have been visiting them while their mother, RUTH LUND TAYLOR, underwent a major operation. She will convalesce con-valesce at her parents' home beginning dutting the week. ROY BROWN, a brother of Mrs. Lund's, stopped off to visitthem this week. He is en route to his home in Los Angeles after a buying 'trip to New York. . . . The DEAN CHIPMANS have a new arrival and, it's a boy. They'll be missed around the ward, for they moved out to Bountiful last week. . . . Word comes from over in Brvan, Ward that IRV PLOUZEK "has been made president of the Mutual. Mu-tual. Bryan may not know rt yet, but ithey have a good president. presi-dent. . . . The Wendyl Ander-SOKS, Ander-SOKS, 1037 Hollwood Ave., and their small fry, Bonnie and Richard, are off to California for a vacation trip. Fact has finally caught up with rumor in the case of Sugar House Ward being divided. On Sunday the east section, from 13th East up and between Westminster West-minster and 21st South, was given to South Edgettill Ward, Hillside Stake. The change has cut off several of the active families, including one of the stake patriarchs, A. WILLIAM LUND, who has been a member of S. H. Ward for 37 years. Hillside Stake just missed getting get-ting Bishop Ed Rawson, who moved down on Douglas just a month ago. Yours truly is among the ones effected by the change and at this writing feels somewhat like an orphan, but none should feel that way, for BISHOP DOUGLAS SMITH came to meeting in S. H. Ward and extended a sincere and hearty welcome to his new members. DON FOWLES, son of MR. and MRS. IRVIN FOWLES, 1971 Douglas, has received a call to the Canadian mission. He will be leaving soon and his face-well face-well is scheduled for May 28. ... At. Fast Meeting five tiny babies were brought by their parents to be given names. WALLY IVERSON and his wife, LEE, were beaming over their first born, whose name is Julee Ann. The RUSSELL CHADWICKS chose Tory Kay for their little girl. Wendy Jan is the name the MERRILL DA VISES have given their little lit-tle daughter. MR. and MRS. GEORGE GLADE gave their son the name Larry Madsen. David Lee was the name selected se-lected by the VERAL MOTTS for their son. . . . Three little girls were confiiTnea members of the church at this same meeting. Jeniel Jensen, daughter daugh-ter of the NORMAN JENSENS; Barbara Snarr, daughter of MR. and MRS. STAN SNARR, and Mtary Ruth O'Driscoll, daughter of the CORNELIUS O'DRISCOLLS. . . . Due to the change from spring back to winter, the clean-up night at the ward has been changed to Monday Mon-day the 15th. All men and boys are still invited to bring thelr tools and help clean and beautify beau-tify the church grounds. . . , Unless the temperature drops to sub zero, the Aaronic Priesthood Priest-hood quorums are planning a big outing at Saratoga next Sat- |
