Show UTAH CRAFTSMEN TO ATTEND VILLAGE OPENING AT ZION'S - Utah Craftsmen, who produce ornamental or useful articles in leather, art metal, jewelry, plastics, plas-tics, ceramics, wood carving, weaving textiles or hook rugs, are invited to send three spec-j imens of their craftsmanship to be exhibited at the opening of the Mormon Craft Village, Springdale, Zion's Canyon, June I 23-23. The invitation is extend-j extend-j ed to Utah painters. inis invitation was issued today to-day by Floyd V. Cornaby, president pres-ident of the Federated Artists of Utah, and head of the art department, de-partment, Utah State Agricul-tuiia Agricul-tuiia College, Logan. Utah. No entry fee will be charged for entries of art or craftwork in the Springville show by members mem-bers of the oiganizatjon. Non-members Non-members will be charged a $1 entry fee for paintings and ; craftsmen 50 cents, j Date of the official Mormon I Craft Village opening and ! Springdale homecoming has been postponed one week, Mr. Cornaby said, in order to avoid a conflict with the LDS June Conference. Entries should be sent to Julius V. Madsen, Mormon Mor-mon Craft Village, gpringdale, before June 15. Applications for membership in the Federated Feder-ated Artists may be mailed to Madison Ave., Ogden. Federated Feder-ated Artists of Utah, Mr. Cornaby Corn-aby said, is particularly desirous desir-ous of augmenting its mailing list of artists and craftsmen. |
