Lions Club Goes Over Top In Bond Buying The Sugar House Lions knocked off their Victory bond quota in almost less time than it takes to tell it at their semimonthly semi-monthly meeting Monday night , at Judd's Inn. Also at Monday's meeting Captain Lee Dalebout of the army chaplain's chap-lain's corps, just home on leave after a long service in India, gave a talk on his experiences and observations overseas. Meanwhile plans are now going go-ing forward for the club's an-i. an-i. nual Christmas project, a benefit bene-fit show to be held Dec. 13 al Irving high auditorium, the proceeds to be used to furnish a complete Christmas for a number of needy families. Carl B. Hale is chairman of this project which this year will feature the presentation of three one-act plays by the Desere: Players.- |
