Show AMERICAN LEGION Sugar House Post No. 65 - 'H,1' Installation of incoming officers offi-cers for Post 05 were held at an outdoor meeting Thursday evening eve-ning the 11th, at post headquarters, head-quarters, the "Rockastle". The Drum and Bugle Corps was in attendance in full regalia and entertained with a number of selections. Past Department Commander J. II. Hickman officiated at the ceremony of installing the incoming in-coming officers. They are as follows: John C. Grubb Sr., Commander Ernest Militate, 1st V. Com. Keith Batcman, 2nd V. Com. Lloyd E. Holliday, Finance Officer. Of-ficer. Howard Bringhurst, Chaplain. Lin ford Jolly, Historian Tomas A. Hawkes, Service Officer. Drum Corps rehearsals, which have been held outside during the summer have been, suspended-due to the nippy weather. Drum Corps Manager Keith Bateman, is attempting to secure se-cure inside quarters in which to conduct rehearsals. When such quarters have been found you will be advised by Comrade Bateman, or through this column. col-umn. Installation of new officers also inaugurated a new scribe for this column, who's avowed policy will be to make as many friends and as few enemies as possible. No names will be mentioned men-tioned with derogatory implications impli-cations and extra curricular activities ac-tivities will be strictly off the record providing no one tells my wife on me. Chester I. Flanders, Sgt.-at-Ar. Executive ('omniiMccmcii: Styles C. Mills, Reginald Corn-well, Corn-well, Bernard Haltquist, Paul Beecher, D. V. McDonald. Past Officer badges were distributed dis-tributed to the retiring officers by District No. 3 - Commander Harold McNeil, who commended commend-ed each officer for his services during the past year. A report on the New York National Legion convention was made by Department Adjutant ' A. S Horsley, who attended the convention as a delegate from Utah. Adjutant Florsley's report re-port was high-lighted by the many amusing incidents that took place at the convention. A joint social with the Ladies' Auxiliary concluded the evening. eve-ning. Refreshments as usual were supplied by our good comrade com-rade Ab. Ward, ever ready to contribute to the enjoyment of his Legion buddies. |
