Show , S. L. PEiSKssrmoaSc Chosr Concert I Set For Thursday Eveninc?. Mcr. 31 One of the most interesting musical events of the season for Southeast Salt Lake is scheduled for Thursdav evening, 8:15 pan.. March 31, when the Salt Lake Philharmonic Choir appears' in concert under the baton of Frederick Davis. Program will be presented in the Hyland Stake Tabernacle, 2005 South Ninth East. Music critics of the local newspapers news-papers have been lavish in their praise of the work of the choir j and its director who have enriched en-riched the cultural life of the community with such masterpieces master-pieces as Verdi's "Requiem," Beethoven's "Missa Solemnis," and recently, the mighty "Mass in R Minor," by Bach. Those who heard Gladys Gladstone's Glad-stone's performance with the Lltah Symphony Orchestra at Kingsbury Hall or the broadcast, realize that in her as also in the organist, Dr. Walter Teutsch the choir is supported by accomplished ac-complished artists. Thursday's program will be a varied one and will be given for the benefit of the Mountain View Ward Building Fund. |
