Show New LDS Ward Organized Sunday A new ward was organized and a new bishopric selected Sunday evening at a meeting of Park Ave. Ward, held in the Highland Park Ward chapeL 2532 Douglas St. (1240 East St.). New bishop is Richard E. Jacobsen, Ja-cobsen, 2122 Crystal Ave. Mr, Jacobsen was formerly second counselor in the Park Avenue Ward bishopric He is an employe em-ploye of the Curtis & Brandley Insurance Co. The new waird, to be known as Crystal Heights, was formed by a division of Park Avenue Ward. A,t the same meeting, Park Avenue Ward bishopric was reorganized. Franklin . J. Murdock, Highland Stake president, presi-dent, was in charge of the meeting. meet-ing. ninnidarii's The division line forming the new ward is midway between Kenwood St. (1740 East St.) and ISth East. Crystal Heights Ward is the western portion of the old Park Avenue Ward and wall meet in Rosslyn Heights Ward chapel, 1900 Parleys Canyon Rd. (2200 South St.). First and second counselors for Crystal Heights Ward, respectively, re-spectively, are Clifford N. Stutz and Verna A. Parry. Ward clerks sustained at the meeting aire William D. Haslam and Robert Rob-ert Roser. Bishop Kctained John B. Stagg was retained bishop of Park Avenue Ward. M. Taylor Abegg was sustained first counselor to succeed Leon Flint, who left last week with a unit of the Utah National Guard. Raymond T. Clark succeeded suc-ceeded Mr. Jacobsen as second counseIor. |
