Show Sales Expert to Speak Wed. at Special Chamber Meeting A special meeting of the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce will be held Wednesday, Sept. 3 at noon at Weasku In to hear Dr. Paul W. Ivey authority on salesmanship, it was announced today by Ray E. Nilson and Horace A. Sorensen. Members of the chamber are invited to attend this special luncheon and meeting, Mr. Nilson, president of the chamber, said. "This will be our only chance to hear one of the greatest sales experts in the United States." Mr. Sorensen announced. "We urge all business people who want to know more about effective effec-tive sales training methods to be in attendance at this meeting." Dr. Ivey, professor of merchandising merchan-dising at the University of Southern South-ern California, comes to Sugar House through the auspices of the University of Utah Extension Exten-sion Division. Mr. Sorensen pointed out that Dr. Ivey combines com-bines the rare qualities of practical practi-cal business and selling evneri- ence and an extensive academic background in the field of sales training. For many years Dr. Ivey has conducted sales training courses for large firms which have proven pro-ven to be successful. The highlights high-lights of these methods have been prepared for a one-lecture technique which Dr. Ivey will use at Wednesday's luncheon meeting. Some of the business institutions which have followed follow-ed sales training methods as laid out by Dr. Ivey are: Coca Cola, Bank of America, Southern South-ern California Gas Co., and The May Company. According . to Mr. Nilson and Mr. Sorensen, the lecture was arranged to aid Sugar House merchants prepare their sales personnel for an era of keen business competition.
