Show Jo Anne Croese Weds at New Year's Eve Rites Wedding bells rang on New Year's eve for Ray Florence and Jo Ann Croese. They were married mar-ried shortly before midnight by Bishop Scott in the Ninth Ward. Jo Anne is the daughter of Mrs. Cornelius Morrell and Ray the son of Mr. and Mrs Dell Florence, Flor-ence, 1864 South 12th East. On Jan. 12 a reception honored hon-ored the young couple at the home of the bridegroom's aunt, Mrs. Alex H. Slater, 1371 East South Temple. Black crepe with a white bead trim was chosen by the young bride for her wedding dress. Jean Hargreaves was attending matron and her husband, hus-band, Gene Hargreaves was best man. Parker, Miss Beth Calder and Mrs. D. James Cannon. Mortar Board is a national honorary organization for senior sen-ior women who are outstanding outstand-ing in scholarship and campus activities. The alumnae association associ-ation is sponsoring the fashion show and bridge tea and has announced that the proceeds from ticket sales will be used for the $75 scholarship fund to be presented to the outstanding junior women student on the U campus in May. The remainder remain-der of the amount will be used to buy additional record players and radios, books, coloring equipment and games for young patients in local hospitals. The latter is under the group's hospital hos-pital project committee, according accord-ing to Mrs. Wirthlin. Tickets may be purchased from Mortar Board members or at The Bulletin Bul-letin Publishing Company, 1117 East Twenty-first South. |
