Show DOING THE TOWN By Eliiine A. Cannon Out for an evening of fun the other night was a group of the young "dating" set. Saw Gil Warner talking to Rosalie Richards, Nadine Anderson and Dale Johnson. Cliff Curtis and his girl, Thelma Reeves danced by and gave out with the info that she was now wearing his Sigma Chi pin . . . Mark and Adrian Cannon Can-non dated Midene McKay and Mary Ethel Epcles respectively for dinner over the week end. Midene was looking very glamorous glam-orous in a heavy satin street dinner frock of a deep violet shade. Her ballet slippers matched and were tied about her ankles with silver ribbon. Mary Ethel's hair was pulled back from her ears into a soft chignon and she was a mighty sophisticated young lady in her turquoise crepe dress fashioned with long sleeves and a deep V neckline. , Mrs. Foley Richards had a bit of shopping to do and she chose to wear a beige gabardine shirtwaist in the new longer length. Gold buttons were the only adornment. Mrs. R. Arthur Gardiner is getting back into the swing of Salt Lake social life after an exciting eastern jaunt. A good part of her time was spent in Washington, D.C., where she saw many a former Utahn. Mrs. Herman G. Karpowitz entertained members of the Le-Grande Le-Grande camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Friday. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served following the business meeting and program. The affair was held at her home, 1198 Eleventh East Street. Another DUP get together out this way was held Friday evening eve-ning at the home of Mrs. M. Vaughn Miller, 3924 20th East St. Women who called that evening eve-ning are members of the Valley Camp. Mrs. Aldon Jr. Anderson entertained en-tertained at her new home for the first time Monday night. The Andersons have done some . clever decorating in their bungalow bun-galow at 2805 South 2420 East Street. Among those present at the Monday evening party were Mrs. Dan Gardiner, Mrs. .. Milt Weilenman, Charlotte Boden, and Dorothy Armstrong. Mrs. Albert Eccles provided beautiful musical numbers on the piano at a meeting of the Chi Omega Mother's circle Monday. Mrs. Robert Snow was speaker of the day. ' East Mill Creek dance-lover? can circle an. 31 on their date books. A stake dance is going to be held in Emerald Gardens that night with the junior girls of the stalce sponsoring the affair. af-fair.
