Show S. II. CHAMBER DRIVE GAINING MOMENTUM Assisting Mr. Dalebout in conducting con-ducting the fund drive are: Ron Hendricks, Walter Peterson and Russell Shurtleff. With the SI 5.000 budget fund drive scheduled to begin Monday morning, Dec. 16, with the official offi-cial canvassing by members of the chamber's finance committee, commit-tee, Drive Chairman Lee W. Dalebout expressed confidence in the success of the drive. He stressed the point that the money is being collected for specific spe-cific purposes and outlined the promotional projects the chamber cham-ber is undertaking for the Centennial Cen-tennial year. They include these six main projects: 1. Combined spring festival and founder's day celebration. 2. Imposing July rites to commemorate com-memorate the entrance of the Pioneers into the valley. 3. Publicity for the fact that Sugar House is the gateway to Utah's winter wonderland. 4. Establishment of a fall festival festi-val which will come to be an annual event and will dramatize Sugar House and the harvest season. 5. An intensive advertising campaign designed to bring the buying public to Sugar House for all occasions. 6. Christmas lighting and decorating dec-orating program. These projects will be a part of a continuing program to attract at-tract thousands of people to this area, Mr. Dalebout pointed out. With the cooperaion of all Sugar House businessmen, the budget goal can be realized. And once it is realized, said Mr. Dalebout, the success of Sugar House in the expanded program of Centennial Cen-tennial events is assured. |
