Alma and Jean Boyce entertained at a supper sup-per party on the patio of their Country Club Acres home with Jack and Sharon Boud as honor guests. Saw Wendell and Marian Mar-ian Ashton there, too. Gtroup of the young marrieds hereabouts packed heaps of fried chicken into picnic baskets bas-kets and headed for Lagoon Tursday p.m. Freezers of homemade home-made ice-cream topped off the lucious dinner. The Robert Wards, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Wirthlin, Mr. and Mrs. Lester F. Hewlett Jr., Dr. and Mrs. Howard Haynes, Dr. and Mrs. Bud Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Clawson, Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Tanner, Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Jardine and the D. James Cannons were in on the fixings. Milt and Marie Weilenmann took their two adorable children, chil-dren, Michael and Martha Jane up to Sun Valley for the long Fourth week end. They had a real time of it, too. Mr. and Mrs. Grant N. Weiler of 2511 Evergreen are still talking about the exciting week-end trip they took, too. Mr. and Mrs. . Warren Diehl were guests of the Weilers on a jaunt that took them to the Southern Utah canyon and to Grand Canyon. They were Impressed with their breakfast in the now-fa-mous-for-movie-stars Parry Lodge in Kanab. The Diehls are Southeasterners, too, with a home at 2237 E. 3205 South. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Curtis chatted with friends during intermission in-termission of the "Great Waltz." Salt Lakers can be very proud of their own Ruth Jensen Claw-son Claw-son who plays the role of the Countess so beautifully. Her husband, Dr. Al Clawson, beamed with pleasure when Mr. and Mrs. D. Parry Soren-sen Soren-sen expressed their delight with Mrs. Clawson's performance. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Sergant left their four darling small fry at home with a baby sitter while they took in the colorful "Waltz" spectacle. We saw them waiting for friends on the ramp after the show. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Allan Hunter, neighbors on upper 29th So. have wedding anniversaries an-niversaries this week and they plan on celebrating together. to-gether. And as if that similarity sim-ilarity weren't enough, they find out that the two girls share the same natal day! |
