CANNON Members of the Sugar House Stake Relief Society Board are crowing with pride over a. new member of their board. They -claim she is the youngest member mem-ber of a Relief Society board . . . that they know about, anyway. The newcomer is Peggy Ruth B. Hewlett (Mrs. Lester F. Jr.) Oand she'll have charge of all music, including the Singing Mothers. Peggy and Les have two children, Nancy and baby Lynn .and they live at 1216 Kensington Ave. Mrs. J. Spencer Cornwall, 1246 Parkway Ave., was hostess this week to the members of the Music Mu-sic Circle. The program was particularly nice, we ' understand. under-stand. Young 'Theodore and his wife, Arley, nave a 5 -pound son that they are telling the world about, but the only trouble is they can't decide on a name for him. Mrs. Jorgensen is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hudson, 1045 Wilson Wil-son Ave. The new parents are living with baby's paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore The-odore P. Jorgensen, 1953 S. 13th East. Romantic goings on for Helen Pay and J. Harold Call. Helen is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeKoy Pay, 632 Hollywood Ave. The couple have set their wedding wed-ding date as Dec. 2. The ceremony cere-mony will be solemnized in the LDS temple. Mark E. Petersen will officiate. There will be a reception at the Lion House that evening. Helen and Harold plan to live in Provo while the benedict bene-dict attends BYU. Hello . . . and welcome home ... to Pat Murray who is back from the wars. Pat has been in Germany for six months as a second lieutenant in the army. The announcement tea given by Mr. and Mrs. Horace L. Brown Sunday in honor of their daughter featured bunches of flowers and people, and plenty of excitement over all. The hon- oree, LaVon, will wed Elmo Scott Dec. 20 in the Salt Lake temple. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Scott of Provo. They'll be feted at a reception at the Brown family home on their wedding night. South Coftnowood LDS ward will be the scene of a lovely w e d d ing reception honoring Carol Rhoda Daw and Roy G. Maynes when they become man and wife Dec. 11. The wedding ceremony will be performed in the LDS temple. Hosts for the reception will be the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert W. The news concerns a tiny tot named Margo Celia Dubofsky, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ber-nard Dubofsky, 1804 Hollywood Ave. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lynn H. Clayton, 933 Lincoln street. The former Miss Paye Bry-ner, Bry-ner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. U. Bryner, 1415 39th South was one .of .the season's .loveliest brides, according to reports. She married H. Norman Hayes, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant E. Hayes, 14C2 Yale Ave., in a ceremony cer-emony Monday night in the Garden Gar-den Park LDS ward. Attendants Attend-ants were Miss Charlotte Bryner, Bry-ner, Miss Helen Poulger, and Mrs. F. S. Gillespie. Jerry Hayes was his brother's best man. Dick Christiansen was usher. |
