Show E. Mill Creek Lions Feted Mr. Lee Anderson, principal of the Sherman school.' 3367 So. 23rd E. St.. has invited the members mem-bers of the East Mill Creek Lions club and the East Mill Creek Lady Lions club to the school Monday evening at 8 to show them the fine new motion picture pic-ture machine which the two Lions groups recently presented present-ed to the school. In behalf of the pupils and teachers of Sherman Sher-man school, Mr. Anderson has planned an evening social at ivhich time movies will be shown on the new projector. Answering a long-felt need for projection equipment to better bet-ter instruct the children of the school, the East Mill Creek Lions and their women's auxiliary, the Lady Lions, donated S300 toward to-ward the purchase of the new Bell and Howell motion picture machine for use in the school. The Lions club gave S200'and the Lady Lions $100. Presidents of the two organizations are: Mr. Fred E. Pike and Mrs. Marcus Jensen. This is the second civic enter-prise enter-prise of this nature in which the East Mill Creek Lady Lions have participated recently. Two months ago they donated $25 to Mr. N. H. Webb, principal of the Wililam Penn school, for the purchase of that school's new projection equipment. |
