Show o SPORTS o Bryan Scouts Win First Half The final week of Senior Scout basketball play was completed com-pleted last Monday by two walkaways walk-aways and . one game that turned turn-ed out to be the best game of the year' from the spectator's point of view. Hawthorne Wins In the first game Hawthorne, after a slow start, took complete control of the game and walked walk-ed over Marlborough to the tune of 45 to 14. Marlborough managed to make a game of it for the first quarter, after which they couldn't seem to keep the ball long enough to make much of a score. The second game saw Bryan complete "the first half undeleat-' undeleat-' ed with a complete rout over the Sea Scouts- with the final tally reading 80 to 17. Two players play-ers on Bryan's team had individual indi-vidual scores of more than the . entire Sea Scout team. 'Nuff said. Close Game The final game of the evening eve-ning saw a hard-fought, evenly matched game from start to finish fin-ish between Emerson and Richards. Rich-ards. The final score read Emerson Em-erson 20, Richards 18, and not until the final whistle could you tell who would win. In the second sec-ond half the score was never over three points difference and both teams spent some time in the lead. ' Emerson's win was still not enough to knock Richards out of second place, however, but it made a three way tie for third. The Results: Hawthorne, 45; Marlborough, 14. Bryan, 80; Sea Scouts, 17.
