Show Story Forum Calls Meet "The Art tf Characterization'" will be the subject of the Short Story Forum at the Sprague Library Li-brary Thursday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m. I This group expects to accumulate accu-mulate in time for the Centennial Centen-nial celebration the largest collection col-lection of books for writers that will exist in the intermountain area. Every member of the group is donated at least a volume vol-ume on writing to the Sprague branch. .Since this collection will save money for those interested in writing, the idea is securing a Kood deal of cooperation from both professional and beginning writers. At present every writer is faced with the expensive cost of building up a large private library as no collection of writers writ-ers books available at all times to the general public exists. The Short Story Forum would like to see other special interest inter-est groups such as garden, social, so-cial, business clubs, etc. in the Sugar House area embrace some variation of this Ixiok idea and help build library at Sprague that will be worthy of Sugar-House Sugar-House An invitation to the members of the Short Story Forum has been issued by the League of Utah Writers to attend the League's annual roundup at Price on August 3 and 4 Plans are underway to affiliate affili-ate the Short Story Forum with the National Writnrs Club, 1835 Champa St.. Denver 2. Colorado, in order to join in the campaign for lower postal rates for manuscripts manu-scripts and to combat the evils of payment on publication practiced prac-ticed by many publications. |
