This game places both of the Sperry teams on top and with few threats left in this first half of play. Bob Roylance and Bill Mulvay completely surprised Bryan Juniors Jun-iors with 15 points between them to stage a 19-10 victory for their Wasatch club. The score was 8-8 at the half, but Bryan only connected for one field goal in the second half. Bob Mosely and Bob Osborne again hit their stride with 6 and 5 counters respectively to give Southeast another surprise win; this time the victim being the Parleys squad. For Parleys. Nichols and Kjar did most of the scoring. Southeast led 13-3 at half time but carried a mere 19-14 19-14 advantage at the close of the game. Highland Park Tips Dodgers Another tight game found Highland High-land Park squeezing out the Dodgers Dod-gers 15-10. Allen Cornwall of Highland Park topped the scorers with 8 tallies. Glenn Davis with two field goals was high for the losers. Reid Schofield, as usual, tanked his sensational long shot. The final junior tilt of Saturday Satur-day found Harry's Garage swamping swamp-ing the Monarchs 34-13. The Mon-archs, Mon-archs, however, put up a grand fight during the first half and trailed by only a 12-10 count at that time. Dodge, went loco and fired away for 26 points which is the highest individual score for the league this season and thus carried his team into a landslide win over the Monarchs. Roland Williams chalked up five points help total up the final 35-4 score. And Aposhian Garage followed suit to blank out St. Paul's 30-6. Albert Neff was the outstanding-player outstanding-player of the game with a fine floor game as well as 10 points. Edlund and Gaz helped the victory vic-tory along with 6 points each. The three senior games point to a tight second half with Sperry's, Aposhian Garage, and Andrus Livestock all pointing to wards the championship of the senior division. The Sperry favorites fav-orites will meet some tough competition com-petition in this second half. |
