Mr. Hardman's hobbies are fishing fish-ing and hiking and as he is not married and consequently his spare time is his own, he spends a. great of his spare time participating partic-ipating in these sports. At the present time Mr. Hnrd-man Hnrd-man is residing at 1842 South Fourth East. Mr J. H. Hardman, who celebrated cele-brated his natal day Thursday, March 20th, is this week's recipient recipi-ent of The Sugar House Bulletin's "Birthday Congratulations." Mr. Hardman was born in Salt Lake City in the year 1892, and attended the city elementary schools as a youth. After acquiring acquir-ing his education, Mr. Hardman secured his first job as a grocery clerk in a store, but demitted after af-ter a year of this work and joined join-ed the personnel at the Bamberger Bamberg-er Coal Company as a teamster. Several years later he became a hodman for a local construction company and eventually progressed progress-ed to become a first class bricklayer, brick-layer, working wherever and whenever work presented itself. During a slack period in the construction con-struction business, Mr. Hardman placed an application at the Utah Light and Traction Company and was put to work in February, 1918 as a street car operator Since 1918 Mr. Hardman has acquired ac-quired a commendable safety record re-cord and wears three silver stars |
