Show r Celebrate Golden Wedding ' Honoring Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Van der Waard on their fiftieth-wedding fiftieth-wedding anniversary, open house will be held for relatives and friends, Sunday, September 5, 1943 from 2 p. m. to 5 p. m. at the familv residence at 971 Iast 2)st South. Mr. Van der Waard was born in Dondrecht, Holland, and Mrs. Johanna Kroonen Van der Waard was born in Sordrecht. Holland, and were married in 1893 while in Holland. Converts of the L. D. S. Church they emigrated to Utah and arrived arriv-ed 1910 in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Van der Waard filled two Missions for the Church to their Native land. A familv dinner will take place at their, home. Thev have the following children: child-ren: Mrs. James Gerritsen of Sunset, Sun-set, Utah, and Mrs. Dirk Evert-sen Evert-sen of Salt Lake City. There are 12 Grandchildren and 10 Great Children. Two of their grandsons are serving in the United Stages army. |
