Show NEWS FROM KEARNS Entires from Kearns gardens won 18 blue ribbons in the flower exhibit of the Salt Lake County Fair, last week at City Park, Murray. Kearns had 29 entries in the show and won 24 ribbons. Silvers of Kearns did his publicity. It was back in 1935 in the days of the Federal Theatre that Silvers Sil-vers joined the group as publicity publici-ty director and in that capacity served Welles in his first productions: produc-tions: Dr. Faustus and Macbeth. MacBeth took the country by storm and Silvers acted as advance agent for the 8000 mile tour. Three privates here who formerly former-ly were connected with RICO Studios in Hollywood met in a grand reunion at the training center cen-ter last week. Aviation cadet Martin Rackin, and Private Bill Bowers and Walter Wal-ter Reed were the men. Rankin wrote tht screenplay Bombardier, Bowers wrote the film Seven days Leave and Walter Reed played the second lead in both of them, a . |
