Show Behunin Family Reunion According to Lyle K. "Buzz" Moss, President of the Behunin Family Association, the annual reunion of the Behunin Family Association As-sociation will be held in the Southeast South-east Grove of Fairmont Park in Salt Lake City, Utah from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on July 18. Isaac Behunin was at one time a bodyguard of the Prophet Joseph Smith. Isaac Behunin first settled in Provo, was called to settle in Ephraim, later lived in Spring City, and also at one time lived in Zion's Canyon. He figured that the great mountains were like natural temples of God. We can worship here as well as in the man-made temples in Zion. Let us call it little Zion. Isaac was an old time backwoodsman. While they lived in Zion's canyon, they used the trunk of a Cottonwood tree, hollwed out, for a washbasin.' His chickens went to bed at sunset and because the twilight in the canyon was so long, they got discouraged and got up again. |
