Show AROUND THE TOWN Afton Seegmiller , March is the month when winter seems reluctant to vacate its place on the calendar and spring seems determined to move in. The tug of war goes on day after day and what appears - to b'e spring suit weather in the morning turns out to be coat weather by nightfall. ; The philosophical way to approach this fickle month is to consider each lovely day a, bonus and, even though we may be digging our tulips and lilacs out from under snow, as in years pa?t. spring is as ' inevitable as taxes and lots easier to take. Silver Spurs will be jingl-, ing merrily at the National Guard Armory in Murray on March 28th at their annual fair and dance. The theme will be Western Hospitality Unlimited and tickets will sell for $1.00 per couple, all proceeds to go toward the many charitable projects sponsored spon-sored by this energetic group throughout the year. Plan to reserve March 28 for an exciting evening of fun, complete with door prlr, contests, games, quilt raffle and dancing. For information contact Nada McHenry at Bill and Nada's Cafe 479 So. 6th East. The American Legion is celebrating its fortieth, birthday birth-day from March 15 to 21st. Bonneville Post 133 will hold its annual birthday dinner at Al's Mammy Chicken Inn on Tuesday March 17. Russell Hawke, Post Commander, urges all to make reservatoins early by calling HU5-9982. or CR- 7846. 1 The Girl Scouts also celebrate cele-brate a birthday this month and the Juniper Neighborhood Party for more than 300 girls will be held" Thursday, March 19th, in the Dilworth-School auditorium. Co-operating with the boy scouts birthday of last month was genial Doug Beckstead at the Beckstead Pharmacy, 1317 So. 21st East. Doug turned over a whole window to the Cubs of Pack 235 and with the help of George Hoffman Hof-fman of the pack committee, the boys were able to win one of the only two awards given to Cub packs with their outstanding out-standing window display. We feel this kind of community co-operation goes a long way In building good citizens.
