Show S. H. Display Man Wins Honors Harold H. Tanner, display decorator for the South East Furniture Company, was presented the prize of a gold medal for a first and a silver medal for a second place in the highly competitive worldwide world-wide contest for 1958. The contest is an annual event sponsored by the "Display "Dis-play World Magazine" land boasted more than 4,000 entries for the year, in the 99 different dif-ferent classifications. Notification of the honor came in a letter to the firm management which termed Harold's display was "excel, lent" quality. Inscribed on the medal is "Display World" award for display achievement for 1958. On the back is written: "This medal is presented for outstanding out-standing abbility to Harold H. Tanner Display . World contest-1958". S. Morgan Sorensen, presented pre-sented the plaque to Harold. Harold joined the firm two years ago coming from . a position of assistant manager of Van Englen's in Brigham City. Prior to this Harold was with ZCMI. The talented decorator de-corator studied art one year at Brigham Young University other than that class he has received no other formal instruction in-struction in this field. The Tanner's which include his wife Lela and their three children: Cindy Lee, 5; Susan Kay, 3 and Richard H., 2 will soon be making their home in Lehi where they have just completed their new home. One appreciates the comment com-ment of Harold's little girl when looking- over the valley at night with all the brilliant lighting and asked, "Daddy did you do that, too." |
