Show Girl Scouts Enjoy Tour Of School In completion of their First Class rank and for their Citizens Citi-zens Here and Aboard requirie-ments, requirie-ments, Trop No. 37 of the Girl Scounts, as a Christmas project, sent gifts to a troop of Navajo j girls at the Intermountain Indian In-dian School at, Brigham City. On January 24th, Troop No. 37 chartered a bus to the In-. In-. Idian School. They were met there by several girls with whom they have been corresponding and these girls acted as hostesses. hos-tesses. Most of the day was spent observing the ways of living liv-ing at the school, and learning the things they are taught. Luncheon in the school cafeteria cafe-teria with some twenty-two hundred Indian boys and girls was an interesting experience for the girls of the Troop. The trip was extremely interesting inter-esting and educational and a warm invitation was extended to the girls to return. Troop No. 37 is hoping to return re-turn the hospitality by entertaining enter-taining some of the girls from the school with a trip to the Mountain Dell Girl Scout Comp in the early fall. Co-leaders of this unusual and fascinating excursion were Kay Court and Doris Schultz. BROWNIE TROOP 17 Brownie Troop No. 17, under the leadership of, Mrs. Sanford Stoddard, held a Valentine's Tea for the mothers of the girls at the home of Mrs. Russell Eschler, 1951 East 4800 South, on the afternoon of February 16th. The girls invited the four officers of the Holladay Neighborhood, Neigh-borhood, Mrs. Carl Ohran, Neighborhood Neigh-borhood Chairman; Mrs. N. Dale Johnson, Troop Consultant; Mrs. John Shelburn, 'Troop Consultant;, Con-sultant;, and Mrs. Leo Wallach, Troop Organizer. Each girl presented her mother with a little gift in rememberance of the special holiday, in the form of a tiny picture of herself. |
