V j I J TTTT IF HA NFS Miss Utah National Teen Ager Julie Hanes, 17, daughter of Shirley Hansen of Bountiful and Bob Hanes of Salt Lake City, received re-ceived the title of Miss Utah National Na-tional Teenager at the 13th annual Miss Utah National Teenager Pageant held at the Salt Lake Sheraton Sher-aton Hotel, Saturday, May 5. THERE WERE 48 participants from all over the state competing for the title. Upon her crowning, she was awarded a four year college col-lege scholarship, $1,000 cash and a $1,000 scholarship to the Barbizon Modeling School. She will go to the National pageant in August, all expenses paid for 10 days, to compete for the National title which will be a nationally na-tionally televised program. JULIE IS a senior at Woods Cross High School and is planning to go into the field of nursing after graduating this month. Miss Hanes was sponsored for the pageant by Slim Olsens, Marion Willey and Sons, Menlove Dodge Toyota, Fernwoods, the Apothecary Shop-pe Shop-pe and Scuba Utah. She has been invited to go to Los Angeles the end of May as a guest at the Miss California National Teenager pageant where she will be a hostess and assist the judges with interviews and other pageant activities.
