Show May Meeting Of Lone Poplar Camp The May meeting of the Lone Poplar Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers was held May 16 at the home of LaVerda Ross. BERNICE Day, captain, directed the meeting. Prayer was offered by Louise Gordon. Captain Page encouraged all to attend the Jubliee. Plans were discussed for the Jubliee activities. Edna Todd led a very interesting discussion on the preparation of the history of relics. ZADA McKay from the South Center Davis County officers was in attendance to install the camp officers for the coming year. They are Mona Bunting, captain; cap-tain; Iris Rogers, 1st vice captain; Marie Anderson, 2nd vice captain; Edna Be ten son, secretary; Frances Searle, registrar; Edna Todd, Chaplain, Eloise Luderman, historian; Betsy Long, lesson leader; Barbara Tingey, custodian of relics; Maxine Smith, chorister; Sue Eggett, organist; Theona Tyler, Tyl-er, parliamentarian; Thora Wallace, Wal-lace, hospitality. EDNA BETENSON reviewed the life of her great-grandfather, Samuel Shepherd, who was a pioneer of 1847. Hostess was LaVerda Ross with Marie Anderson as co-hostess. |
