Show Ballard Ellen Bracken Ernest Betts helped Angus Anderson bale hay at Willow Creek last week. The Ballard Scouts played basketball with the Gusher Scouts Tuesday night at Al-terra Al-terra gym. Ferris Winn set fire to his tractor Thursday while attempting attempt-ing to start it. Part of his sheds were also destroyed. Ft, Duchesne Du-chesne men' assisted in fignting the blaze. Mrs. Wilbur Parrish visited in Neola recently with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Francis Crozier. The baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Larsen was blessed at Sacrament meeting, Sunday, and named Arlene. Mrs. Jack Allred has been confined to her home with flu. Mrs. S. B. Kettle has also been on the sick list. John Cook and son, Wayne, spent several days in Rangely last week with Mr. C o o k 's daughter, Mrs. Ray Westwood. Lorraine Hullinger, a student at B.Y.U, spent the weekend ' with her parents. Mrs. Thomas Shisler had a - long distance phone call Friday night from her son, Carl, who is working in New Orleans. Bill Jenkins spent the weekend week-end with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Parrish spent a week in Salt Lake recently, re-cently, while Mr. Parrish attended at-tended a mechanics school. Mrs. Russel visited Wednesday Wednes-day at the R. V. Larsen home in Roosevelt. Mrs. May Calder, of Vernal was also a guest. Mrs. Earl Gardner and Mrs. Boyd Winn were hostesses Thursday at a pink and blue shower for Mrs. Ferris Winn at her home south of Ft. Duchesne. Guests from Ballard included Mrs. Earl Winn. Mrs. Dave Lundberg, Mrs. Effie Winn, Mrs. Eric Stolla, Mrs. Geo. Bracken and Mrs. Bill Brisbin. Bishop Collins was bitten on the arm by a pig, Sunday. He was rushed to Roosevelt for medical attention. Mrs. Straussie Birtchell and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Birtchell, of Vernal, were dinner guests Sunday Sun-day of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shisler. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham Bing-ham and Barbie White, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon White, are now full-time missionaries among the Indians. Mrs. Ramona Mecham and children, who have been living for several months with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hatch, will leave soon to join Mr. Mecham in Japan. Mrs. Grant Brough, recently operated on at a Salt Lake hospital, hos-pital, is staying with her sister, Mrs. George Brough, at Rand-lett. |
