Show Neola Couple Observe 59th Wedded Year NEOLA Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pe-ter Duncan, of Neola, observed their 59th wedding anniversary January 28, with a family gathering gath-ering at the home of a daug'hter, Mrs. Evelyn Rhodes. The couple was married January Jan-uary 28, 1881, in the Logan L.D.S. temple, and moved to the Uintah Basin in 1909. Mr. Duncan was born October Oc-tober 22, 1869 in Salt Lake City. When' still an infant, his family moved to Farmington, where they settled next door to the family of Amanda Moon, who was born October 15, 1870. About ten years later, both families fam-ilies moved to Woodland, where Peter Duncan and Amanda Moon grew up together, and later were married. They are the parents of 10 children, eight of whom are living: Mrs. Zina Mecham. Or-em; Or-em; Mrs. Evelyn Rhodes, Ivan, Oluf, Elden, McNeil and La-Rene La-Rene Duncan, all of Neola. Thv have 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. |
