Show School Doings ROOSEVELT HIGH Members of the Spur club sponsored an assembly Friday, Jan. 27, during 6th period, to advertise ad-vertise the Sweetheart Ball, which was held that night at the elementary gym. Sally Nelson Nel-son acted as announcer. On the program were Lila Horrocks, who presented an ac-cordian ac-cordian solo; Mrs. Virgie Murphy, Mur-phy, skit; Melba Benson and Nadine Clark, skit; the Campbell Camp-bell brothers, saxophone duet; Jay Pond, vocal solos. Mrs. Wanda Wan-da Riggle, JeNee Benson, Renee Stewart, Merlin Ross, Joyce Burr. Delores Hutcheon, Joanne Holgate and Pauline Larsen were in charge of advertising. The remainder of the time was devoted to a pep meeting. The student-body presented a picture, "Call of the Wild," Thursday, Jan. 26, for first semester se-mester honor roll students. Tuesday a polio film was presented pre-sented in the high school auditorium audi-torium by the local Polio committee, com-mittee, under the direction of 1 Mrs. Thomas Todd. |
