Show RHS Operetta, 'A WaBtz Dream,' Set For Wednesday and Thursday "A Waltz Dream," a three-act three-act operetta by Oscar Strauss, revised by Don Wilson, will be presented by Roosevelt high school students Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8 p. m. in the elementary gym. The cast includes Darrny Beel-er Beel-er as Maximilian X, King of Sylvania, a baritone: Sherry Dennis, Princess Helene, the King's daughter, a soprano: John Aitken, Prince Rupert, her cousin, a speaking part: Bob Timothy, Lieutenant Niki. an Australian army officer, tenor; Beverley White, Kay Robinson, an American artist, soprano; Bonny Fenn and Gloria Schae-fermeyer, Schae-fermeyer, Princes Matilda, the King's sister (the girls will play the part on separate nights); Larry Wilson, Lieutenant Mont-schi, Mont-schi, of the Sylvanian army, a speaking part. Bonnie Adams, Louisa, a dutchess, soprano; K e n d a 11 Schaefermeyer, Bertram Bud-gett, Bud-gett, American efficiency expert, medium; Allan Smith, Count Lothar, of the Sylvanian court, baritone; Eldon Winterton, Count Sigismund, Sylvanian court, baritone; Fred Brown, Nicholas, Sylvanian court, baritone; bar-itone; JeNee Benson, Fifi, a singer, alto; Algie Luke, Annerl, a singer, mezzo; and Ladies' and Men's glee clubs, mixed chorus. The plot centers around a tangled lover affair at the court of Maximilian, the fireworks provided by the romantic blending blend-ing of royalty and commonal-try, commonal-try, which causes complications to set in. Mrs. Barbara Lowe is general director; Mrs. Leora Bird, speech director; Mrs. Virgie Murphy, dance director; makeup make-up is under the direction of Mrs. Murphy and her dramatic class; Allan Smith and Larry Wilson, stage managers; Carl Jensen, lights; Mr. Wilson, advertising; ad-vertising; and Jay Pond, in charge of instrumental music. |
