The following members and guests of the Friday Bridge club were present: Mrs. Horner Robinson, Rob-inson, Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mrs. H. V. Davenport, Mrs. Wit. Preece, Miss Alice To'.'d nd Mrs. Rex Lamb. Bridge was en-jp"pd en-jp"pd after luncheon, with high score going to Mrs. Robinson. Members of the American Le- J gion and AuxiMary, Wm. R. j Sands Post and Unit 5, gathered I Friday at the barracks for their I monthly social meeting. A short business session was conducted by Commander Darre'l Dean and President Odie Hemphill Cantasta was then enjoyed until a late hour, when the A uxT-i reserved re-served a delicious pot luck lunch. The occasion celebrated the birthday anniversaries of Mrs. Oscar Adams. Mrs. Darrel: Dean, Mrs. Denzel Hemphill a"d James Dalgleish, whose birth days fell during Januarv. Thr next meeting is scheduled fc Friday. Feb. 17, at the Mrm. R. Harris home. Mr. and Mrs. Ed H-rt. Mr. and Mrs. Del Combs and son. Gary, of Duchesne, gathered Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish to h!. Mr. Dalgleish celebrate his birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Davenport Daven-port entertained their bridge club Sunday evening at sv.per. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. Rpx Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Harris. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Dal-gleish, Mr. and Mrs. Hump" Robinson. Miss Alice Todd and Lee Cooper. H;,Th score went to Miss Todd and Mr. Cooper; slam to Mrs. Robison, and low to Floyd Lamb. Reed Peterson, accompnnied by his pilot-mstructor, of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, made a flight last week to Bakersfield and Taft. California While there Mr. Peterson visited his brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Dean Peterson ' Mrs. LeRoy Mott and infant son retur""d Friday from the Roosevelt hospital, where the baby was born, Jan. 22. Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray returned Sunday from a bui- I ness trip to Salt Lake City. Upon Up-on reaching Heber Saturday, on their return trip, they found Highway 40 blocked by snow They were forced to remain overnight ov-ernight in Heber before resuming resum-ing their homeward journey. Officers of the recently organized organ-ized Myton Lions club held a luncheon meeting Saturday at the Anderson hotel. President Howard Davenport presided at the business session which followed fol-lowed the luncheon. |
