Show Stella Underwood Gusher Has New Correspondent EDITOR'S NOTE This week Mrs. Stella Underwood becomes the Standard's correspondent from Gusher replacing Mrs. Albert Al-bert Semken, who has been reporting re-porting the news for several years until her recent accident-We accident-We appreciate the fine support given Mrs. Semken and encourage encour-age all Gusher residents to give the same support to Mrs. Underwood.' Under-wood.' Incidently, our new correspondent cor-respondent has been writing Mrs. Semken's column since her injury. Pvt. Gene Ferguson, son of Mrs. Robina Ferguson, is home on a ten-day furlough. Gene is stationed at Fort Bennjng, Ga., with the 12th Infantry regiment, assigned to a heavy motor company. com-pany. Chuck Semken, of Price, visited vis-ited with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Semken, Sunday. Other guests at the Semken home Sunday were their granddaughter, Mrs. A. C. Talboe, of Myton, Mrs. W. White and daughter. Bertha, and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Schwobe and baby of Vernal. Dorothy Arnold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Arnold, had her tonsils removed Thursday Thurs-day at the Roosevelt hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Dom-gaard Dom-gaard spent several days last week in Salt Lake on business. Mrs. Guy Underwood accompanied accompan-ied them to Salt Lake for a medical check-up. Mrs. Robina Ferguson has re-turned re-turned home after spending the ipast tnree weeks in Idaho with her sister. Her son, Leonard, and I his wife brought her home from Heber. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Nebeker attended conference in Salt Lake last week-end. Mrs. Eva Rushton visited her three daughters in Sandy over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Clark have moved into their new home in Gusher. Loma Dahlberg, son of Mrs. Vonnie Dahlberg, has just spent six days with his mother, before be-fore . returning to duty at his base in San Diego. He is a seaman sea-man apprentice on board the USS Sicily, an aircraft carrier. Gwen Bodily went to Salt Lake with Bishop Acel Perry to attend conference. Visiting at the Leonard Farns-worth Farns-worth home the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Keith Clark and family, of Woody Creek Colo., and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Smuin and baby, of Craig, Colo. Troy Tremble took a car load of youngsters to Green River Saturday for an outing, Mr. and Mrs. Nile Ainge. of Jensen, were Wednesday visitors vis-itors at the Joe Arnold home. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Blanchard, of Monarch, visited Sunday at the Manfred Arnold home. Mrs. Bertha Ferguson substituted substi-tuted in the kitchen at the Fort Duchesne school for Mrs. Eva Rushton, who made a trip to Salt Lake City for medical treatment. Wm. Ferguson attended the LDS general conference in Salt Lake. Beverly and Beulah Ferguson and Alma Bodily, of Lapoint, accompanied ac-companied Troy Tremble to Salt Lake Saturday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Du-1 vail, of Lehi, came here Sunday to get his mother, Mrs. Lucy Duvall, to take her to Salt Lake for medical treatment . |
