Show Oil NevG Following is a summary of oil well drilling activity for the week ending Sept. 1, 1953, as released by the Scouting Division Divi-sion of Carter Oil Co.: Bambergar Unit No. 1 (Located (Locat-ed Walker Hollow, SW NE, Sec 11, 7 S, 23 E) Drilling at 4490 ft., shale and sand. Drill Stem Test No. 1, 4254-4270 ft., open 1 hour, good initial blow, decreased to fair blow last 10 minutes. Recovered 2710 feet fluid, slightly gas-cut (100 feet muddy water, 2610 feet fresh water). Drill Stem Test No. 2, 4323-433$ feet, open 1 hour, good initial blow, continued throughout test. No gas to surface. sur-face. Recovered 510 feet heavy black oil, slightly mud cut. Gravity of oil 18 degrees API corrected. Pour point 82 degrees. de-grees. Drill Stem Test No. 3, 4358Vi-4370 feet, open 1 hour, good initial blow, gradually decreasing de-creasing toward end of test, no gas to surface. Recovered 591 feet slightly blackish water, slightly mud-cut. Core No 1 4332-4370 feet, recovered 38 ft. Core No. 2, 4370-4428 feet, recovered re-covered 57 feet. Eyner Nielson Well No. 1 (Located SE NW, Sec. 36, 3 S. 5W) Drilling 9 inch hole 879 feet, lime. Spudded 8:30 p. m., Aug. 26, 1953. Set 20 inches 30 feet, with 70 sacks. |
