Show Stake Relief Society Has Excellent Closing Program Friday The Roosevelt LDS Stake Relief Society Union meeting and closing program for the year was held last Friday afternoon in the Roosevelt Roose-velt Stake House, under the direction dir-ection of the Relief Society stake board, headed by Mrs. Minnie Angus, president. A very outstanding display of handiwork, fancy work and betuti-ful betuti-ful quilts was hung for all stake members to see. These were the results of the work done in the wards throughout the stake during the past year. The afternoon was highlighted by a progarm presented from all Relief Society departments as fol lows: THEOLOGY: a dramatization;, drama-tization;, "A New Witness for Christ," with Afton Brokaw and Milton Neilson, narrators; choral readers represented by the four Roosevelt wards;, a song from Neola ward, accompanied by Helen Larson, 4th ward; vocal number, Montwel ward. VISITING TEACHERS represented repre-sented by by Beth Brown, Mont-well; Mont-well; an original skit, "Our Magazine", Maga-zine", by Jean Summers, portrayed by Dorothy Kettle, Ardis Kettle and Marilyn Killian, Ballard ward. ILITERATUREf -original poem, Jean Summers, assisted by Helen Odekirk, Helen Larson, Marjorie Crittenden; interesting stories from early records, Verda Mae Morten-sen Morten-sen and Barbara Timothy; vocal solo, Nadine Hintze. SOCIAL SCIENCE symposium, Gladys Drolliner, assisted by Delma Lon, Delma Bastian, Delight Andrews, Reve Allred, Donna Swain, Vida Betts, Marie Miller and Muriel Moosman. To conclude the social, lovely refreshments were served. The Relief Socit.y organizations will meet just once a month during the summer for a work meeting. |
