Show Wedding Receplion Compliments Newlyweds At Ballard Chapel BALLARD (Special). Ballard ward was the setting of a lovely reception and dance on the evening eve-ning of Sept. 7, held in honor of justweds, Miss Joan Wardle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orin D. Wardle, of Berkley, Calif, and Perry Bingham, son of Mrs. Von Haslem of Ballard and Ercil Bingham Bing-ham of Oakland, Calif. The wed- ding ceremony was performed on Aug. 27 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. ' For the event the bride donned a gown of embroidered satin. The floor length dress was designed with a fitted bodice with a drop waistline, long tapered sleeves, and a wide boat neckline. A pillbox pill-box hat made of satin, trimmed with pleated tulle, clasped by small lily-of-the-valley flowers released re-leased the finger-tip length veil of illusion. She carried a white orchid with red rose-buds cascading cascad-ing from the satin streamers. Mrs. Haslem, the grom's mother, was in a light blue suit with a corsage of pink roses and a gardenia. gar-denia. Mrs. Ervin Vehar was dressed in a dark blue suit with a corsage of yellow roses and a gardenia. Ned Gines was master of ceremonies. cer-emonies. On the program were Beverly Anderson, Marilyn Winter-ton, Winter-ton, Penny Norton Mrs. Eva Huber and a quartet composed of Karen and Patsy Gines, Elaine Angus and Celia Kay Jenkins. The stage was beautifully decorated decor-ated with light colored gladioli and beautiful candles. On one small, table with a hand crocheted table cloth was the attractive wedding cake. Another beautiful hand-made cover was on the table from which dainty refreshments were served. Mrs. Cecil Jenkins, Mrs, Earl Gardner and Mrs. Joe Norton assisted as-sisted with the reception. Misses Elaine Bingham, Carol Rasmus-sen Rasmus-sen and Sherry Norton took care of the gifts, and a group of younger girls helped with the serving. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Vehar and sons Glen and Bob and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Eskridge all of Green-river, Green-river, Wyo. were here for the reception and were over-night guests at the Von Haslem home.
