Show ALTAMONT Dorothy Farnsworth Win Sather FFA Trophy Once More The Moon Lake FFA Chapter won the five year Sathers Jewelry Trophy for the fourth straight year at the Duchesne County Fair. The following FFA boys from the "upper country" had exhibits ex-hibits at the fair: Ronald Miles, Mt. Home entered his purebred herford cow, winning Reserve Grand Champion. His brother, Clair, exhibited his Jersey dairy heifer. James Lindsay, Mt. Home won a blue ribbon on his little feeder calf.. Robert Iorg of Upalco .. entered four head of Suffolk sheep winning Reserve Grand Champion on his Ram lamb. Two of his sheep were fat lambs which he sold at the Jr. Auction Sat., Sept. 1. Roberts' name will appear on the trophy for having won more points than any otheT FFA boy. Michael Lisonbee of Bluebell, won a blue ribbon on his spring wheat and the Moon Lake Chapter won a blue ribbon on their sheath of Trebi barley raised on the school farm. LeVar Bentley, their advisor, won blue ribbons on his cucumbers, cucum-bers, cauilflower, cabbage, onions and beets. Red ribbons on beets, green tomatoes, stringbeans and brocolli and a white ribbon for blackeyed peas. |
