Show Kit. Emmons Peggy Ann Case Mrs. Harold Jones and two sons, of Malad, Idaho, are spending spend-ing a couple of weeks with Mrs. Jones' parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Rust. Carol Elliot, who has been attending at-tending school at Altamont, has gone to Salt Lake to be with hex parents. The Elliots moved from here last fall. La Farge Dastrup was in Salt Lake during the week to consult a doctor. He drove a new Packard Pack-ard home. Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Mecham spent Monday of last week in Salt Lake with Mrs. Mecham's mother, Mrs. R. M. Brandon, who has been seriously ill. Arthur Saddler, of San Francisco, Fran-cisco, is making an extended visit vis-it with his daughter, Mrs. Grant Hansen. Several of the board members of the Moon Lake Electric Association As-sociation left Thursday for Washington', Wash-ington', D. C. Cong'ressman Walter Wal-ter K. Granger made an appointment appoint-ment for them to meet with REA officials on matters pertaining pertain-ing to the enlargement of the plant. Making the trip are Wm. Fieldsted, Boneta; Lyndon Hansen, Han-sen, Mt, Emmons; Ray Brown, Ncola, and Newell McKee, Tri-dell. Tri-dell. Vern White, of Roosevelt, head lineman for the association, accompanied them. George Rogers Rog-ers took the five men in his new Buick. Miss Eva Dean Crosby has returned re-turned from a month's visit in Salt Lake with her sister, Mrs. Wallace Rogers. Miss Delma Thacker. who is employed in Salt Lake, is visiting visit-ing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Thacker. Lawrence Ward attended funeral fun-eral services Thursday in Richfield, Rich-field, for his father John William Ward. Mrs. Leroy Thacker entertained enter-tained at a chicken supper, Tuesday Tues-day evening, April 5, in honor of her son, Fred, and his friends. Covers were laid for Rex Fowler, Fowl-er, Cecil Wall, Homer Weeks, Fred Thacker, Jean Mecham, Betty Holder, Colleen Orr and Alvornia Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Paul and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Case, of Ogden, were overnight guests Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case. Mr. Paul, a builder and contractor, had submitted a bid for the construction of the Union High school and went to Roosevelt Roos-evelt to be present at the opening of the bids. Mr. and Mrs. J. Edgar Holder returned Saturday after an absence ab-sence of several weeks in Salt Lake, where Mr. Holder has been under a doctor's care. He is still in very poor health, but able to be up a little. A daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Garth Sargent, of Coalville, brought the Holder's home. Betty Bet-ty Holder went back with the Sargents to do some shopping in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Deshler, of Salt Lake, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wall. Mrs. Deshler is the former Clela Wall. The Moon Lake Stake LDS conference will be held in Mt. Emmons, Saturday evening and Sunday, April 16 and 17. Ezra Taft Benson, of the Council of the Twelve, and Mark B. Garff, of the Church Welfare committee will be present. |
